Seeds of Hope Latin America is a mission’s ministry that has grown out of Grace Church in Allen, TX, primarily through the vision of Mesa Taveras and Pastor Joel Walters. They’ve partnered for more than a decade on many different aspects of this project from sharing the Gospel in Latin America to organizing Summer camps in the Dominican Republic and training pastors around the region. In 2020, we formalized the organization and created a 501(c)3 Not-for-profit organization. We are looking to multiply the impact that has been present for many years.
During 2020, amidst a pandemic, several trips had to be cancelled that were planned to help train pastors and disciple young people in the Dominican Republic. Gratefully, we moved forward with some of the business aspects of the ministry. We approved our by-laws, received approval for our Certificate of Formation from the State of Texas and set up our 501(c)3 Not-for-profit corporation with the IRS. Another recent exciting development is the establishment of this website and the beginning of our social media presence on Facebook.
